OpenCascade

OpenCascade is a solid geometric kernel. Initially developed under the name of Euclid in the 1970s, it faced the rise of its competitor Catia in the 1990s. In response to the hegemony of the technology developed by Dassault Système group, the project became open source in the early 2000s.
