Freecad

FreeCad is a computer-aided engineering application in the lineage of software such as Catia or SolidWorks. Initially developed by Juergen Riegel, Werner Mayer and Jorik Von Havre, the project is now supported by a large community of developers totaling 238 contributors. The application allows the design of solid and parametric objects adapted to different engineering fields - mechanics, electronics, robotics - and for the modeling of architectural projects with the BIM module. Freecad is based on the OpenCascade geometric kernel.
