Libfive

Libfive is a functional representation geometric kernel developed by Matt Keeter, engineer at Formlabs. The project originated from research conducted by Neil Gershenfeld at the Center for Bits and Atoms at MIT. Libfive provides an answer to the problem of volumetric printing, where models must be manifolds. Being a functional representation kernel, Libfive guarantees that objects are strict manifolds, unlike more traditional kernels based on Brep geometries that can lead to non-manifolds objects.
